ORIENT RA-BA0004S Features
The new Multi Year Calendar models ae featuring a one-of-a-kind display incorporating year, month, date, and day, this model epitomizes the creative watchmaking style of ORIENT, combining the functionality of mechanical watches with original designs that delights aficionados who appreciate something distinctive in a watch. It features this automatic functionality with hand winding and second hand hacking caliber F6 series. At the same time, a newly introduced see-through case back makes it possible to admire the precision mechanical movement from the back. And the calendar adjustments* have been significantly improved rather than former models. This new model inherits the original display system that shows the calendar for more than 20 years by corresponding the last 2 digits of the years and months at 12 o’clock, and matching the day and date at 6 o’clock. But one thing is different. There is no longer a push button to adjust the display ring, meaning that all adjustments of the calendar function can now be accessed from the crown. Besides the design of this new model has also been refined. With a slightly enlarged case of 43.5 mm in diameter and a narrow bezel, the new wider dial makes it possible to allocate the calendar displays in bigger characters providing better legibility. Big 3-dimensional hour markers and large hands with facets also enhance readability.
*The calendar is valid for maximum 23 years. We regularly prepare an updated version of the Multi-year calendar disc, so you can update the year display by replacing this part at the ORIENT authorized store or service center. However, replacement fee will be charged.

About ORIENT RA-BA0004S
Orient Watch is a Japanese watch brand owned by Seiko Epson. Established as an independent company in 1950, it became a functional subsidiary of Epson in 2009 before being fully integrated into the company in 2017.
Until it was absorbed into Epson, the Orient Watch Company had primarily marketed mechanical watches (self-winding & hand-winding), but also produced quartz, light-powered (solar) and radio-controlled models. Outside of the main business, the company produced some moving parts and electronic components that were then assembled into Seiko Epson’s electronic devices.
Currently, Akita Epson Corporation (formally Akita Orient Precision Instruments Co., Ltd.), a group company of Epson, manufactures all of the Orient movements in-house in Yuzawa, Akita, Japan.
