CITIZEN Mechanical NJ0200-50Z Features
A modern evolution of a beloved classic, the Citizen Tsuyosa 37mm NJ0200-50L carries forward the legacy of Citizen’s mechanical watchmaking. Its roots trace back to the NH299 series—one of the brand’s best-selling mechanical lines in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2022, TSUYOSA revitalized this design with a fresh, contemporary look, and now in 2025, the TSUYOSA 37mm refines it further, offering a sleeker 37 mm case, making it 3 mm smaller than the 40 mm TSUYOSA while maintaining the same bold appeal. The Pastel Pink dial, accentuated by crisp stroke indices, adds a refined touch, while a date display at 3 o’clock enhances everyday functionality. At its core, the Caliber 8210 automatic movement ensures precision and reliability, offering a 42-hour power reserve. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and with 5 bar (50 meters) water resistance, this timepiece is designed for both heritage enthusiasts and modern trendsetters alike.

About CITIZEN Mechanical NJ0200-50Z
History of Citizen
The company was founded in 1930 by Japanese and Swiss investors. It took over Shokosha Watch Research Institute (founded in 1918) and some facilities of the assembly plant opened in Yokohama in 1912 by the Swiss watchmaker Rodolphe Schmid.
The brand Citizen was first registered in Switzerland by Schmid in 1918 for watches he sold in Japan. The development of this brand was supported in the 1920s by Count Gotō Shinpei with his hope that watches could become affordable to the general public. The growth of Citizen until World War II relied on technology transfer from Switzerland.
